Inside Sales Associate

Role Summary:

Equipment Group International is seeking an Inside Sales Associate for the office in South Houston TX. We are looking for an individual who is motivated to encompass the craft of Inside Sales and eager to learn the opportunities this role can provide. This role of the Inside Sales Associate marks the beginning of a career with EGI, with the potential to advance their overall sales career. The primary focus of this role will be to manage and grow a funnel of opportunities and leads; additionally, how successful those leads are converted to orders. The role will involve proper training on lead generation, product knowledge and follow up tactics.

As the first line of communication with prospects, an ideal Sales Representative have a strong understanding of the sales process, excel at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting our sales closers up for success. They are also a quick learner with strong communication skills to showcase our services and equipment in a compelling way. Every potential customer is an opportunity for to increase top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

The individual in this role will report directly to the General Manager and collaborate with the existing Sales Department to execute individual and Company revenue targets. This is a full-time position with a growing company.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required. College degree preferred.

  • 1-2 years of proven outside/inside sales experience and/or related experience.

    • ​  Applicants with backgrounds in mechanical and/or industrial manufacturing, refinery, and tooling are encouraged to apply.

  • Must have functional knowledge of computer operating systems.

  • Follow-up on lead generating activities and potential new customer acquisition.

  • Identify and develop any new customer accounts and contracts along with managing current customer accounts (including inactive accounts).

  • Learn to be a product and subject matter expert in order to cross reference part numbers when assisting customers.

  • Handle phone calls and demonstrate positive interactions with customers and team members.

  • Collaborate with the Team on items such as communication with business units, communication with shipping/scheduling, communications with sales, customer complaints, and quality issues.

  • Respond to RFQ and market leads. This includes qualification of market leads, review of RFQ, product identification, review of existing agreements, & obtaining pricing and lead-time. Analyze quotes to identify additional sales where applicable.

  • Work directly with the General Manager & Sales Managers in a team environment to develop and execute a sales plan with pricing agreements and contracts.

  • Participate in projects and other initiatives inside and/or outside of the assigned area, department or business unit, as needed.

  • Negotiate and collaborate with customers and colleagues to support mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Consult with supervisors or senior Team members on complex and/or unusual problems.

Schedule

  • Day Shift, Monday to Friday.

  • Occasional on-call duties during weekends or longer hours during busy times.

  • One location. Remote work unavailable.

Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment.

  • General hours of Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

  • Some minimal travel may be required.
